The Square House and the Tsunami

I had a bunch of confused dreams last night. Lots of running around, LOTS of talking to people. I don't even remember.

The two big parts I remember though, were the square house and tsunami part.

One of my friends said that they have a new house. But it's square.

"Don't say it!" demanded my friend.

"Say what?" said the other one.

"That the house has equal sides?" I said.

"It's a rectangle!" said someone

"No it's a square!"

We all drove down the street. I was driving in the car, and when we pulled into the driveway, it turned out someone else was driving.

The square house looked like a bunker... old, peeling paint, made out of metal. It was teal colored. All the windows and doors were slammed shut and had no handles so we couldn't even get in. I thought, wow, this is perfect for a zombie apocalypse.

We walked around the outside of the square house looking for a way in, even though one of my friends had said she lived in it. She pressed the front door and it opened. First it swung outward into my face, and I glitched and got stuck. So she pressed it again and this time it swung in and we all went in.

Instantly there was a very heavy, foreboding aura. Like that place had some stuff in it that didn't want us in there. My dad said, "Look!" We looked up. In the reflection of the tile wall, we could see into another room, and there was movement in there. But the entire building had been locked.

"See that?" he whispered. We all looked up and stared at the movement. Clearly someone was in the other room. It was an irregular movement. We all rushed over there to catch the paranormal activity. Inside we saw an old man hitting wet clothes with a hammer.

"Hey! What are you doing here?" said my friend. Everyone stared at him, asking questions, and he didn't react to any of it. He was deaf. When he finally looked up, he didn't react either. He just looked at us. It was really unnerving.

Some of us went back into the living room.

"That's weird. We should stick together and keep pieces of paper with us. If we see anything paranormal, write it all down so we can share it. That way none of us can get tricked."

"That is a perfect idea," I said. Everyone got pieces of paper and I went up the stairs with Olivia. Weird stuff was happening and we wrote it down to log the strange events.

I forget what happened next... but I was at the beach.

I looked to the ocean and saw a part of the ocean rising. It got higher and higher. "What... is that..." I asked a stranger.

"I dunno," he said, and kept walking. Nobody else noticed until the wave got higher.

"It looks like a tsunami," I said. THEN people started panicking.

"Tsunami? Is that a tsunami? TSUNAMI!" screamed people.

The tip of the wave started breaking white foam.

"TSUNAMI! GET OUT! GO INLAND!" I screamed, thinking about how stupid everyone was that nobody bothered pointing out the obvious giant wave. Everyone starts running inland but the wave started crashing down, way too fast for anyone to get out of the way.

"SWIM PARALLEL TO THE WAVES!" people screamed. I saw my mom in the distance and I couldn't reach her in time so I just screamed at her to swim sideways.

The waves crashed in and out and I lost my vision, I could just feel like I was being thrown around and sand and sharp rocks getting whipped at my body from the tides. This went on for a long time and I could hear people screaming still.

Finally it was over and I was just lying in the sand. After a bit I stood up and walked back towards the shore where some of my friends were congregating.

"That was intense," I said.

"Yeah, pretty crazy," said another friend. My mom was there sitting on a bench too.

One of my friends just arrived from work, let's call him M. He missed the entire tsunami and beach party so he just sat down on a bench a couple of feet away from our other friend, J. They started talking. Suddenly it felt like a k-drama. I could feel the spark between them, and I stared at them talking back and forth with a tiny grin on my face.

M noticed and stared at me and I heard his voice say in my head, "Stop it."

I giggled. Then he went back to talk to her, and in my dream I knew it was the beginning of something special.

Then I woke up.
